About me
Master in integrative clinical psychology and affective psychology - University of Geneva
Bachelor in psychology - University of Geneva
During my clinical training, I deliberately emphasized interpersonal relationships and systemic therapy (individual, couple and family).
Having a migratory background myself (of Indian origin and adopted), I added a component around migration, the psychology of trauma and intercultural psychology.
Finally, other areas of interest have been added, notably sleep disorders, pain (including chronic pain) and the neuroscience of music.
My training in affective psychology equipped me for emotional issues, personality, identity, motivation, stress, self-regulation, burn-out, burn-on, etc.
I am convinced that continuing education is an asset. I am currently pursuing postgraduate training in systemics and will continue to develop my professional interests through this.
During and after my training, I was able to practice in the field of palliative care, the study of addictions, and socio-professional reintegration (still currently).
Thanks to my personal and professional journey, I have been able to become aware of the values that guide my clinical practice:
- respect for people, listen to them
- fight against the over-pathologization of psychological difficulties (without denying or minimizing them)
- focus on symptoms (concrete difficulties) and their relationships rather than diagnoses
- intercultural practice
- promotion of harmonious interdisciplinary work
Finally, the arts occupy a large place in my daily life. I practice music (piano), dance and photography.
